How it Works.

The Vodder method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) utilizes gentle rhythmic pulses and light stretching of the skin to stimulate lymphatic flow and dilate the lymphatic ducts. This results in improved lymphatic fluid mobilization that continues well after the treatment. It is also highly relaxing and has been know to induce snoring.

A treatment targets the full body lymphatic system from the major lymph nodes to the distal extremities. Depending on your goals, treatments can be performed in as little as 30 minutes. However, we recommend planning for a minimum of 3-4 treatments to see significant results.

This technique can also be performed fully clothed. We recommend wearing clothes that are loose fitting without tight waistbands or cuffs.

Because MLD creates a significant increase in fluid mobilization, there are several precautions and contraindications to consider. Approach and treatment options can also vary depending on your treatment goals. For these reasons we require a consultation call as a first step to your MLD treatment.
